November 11th, 2015 ICT & Investment conference taken place in Oslo highlighted investments opportunities in Ukraine and cooperation between Norway and Ukraine. The event was initiated and organized by the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and acquired a wide resonance in Oslo.
The event was attended by over 200 participants: owners and top managers of the Norwegian business, representatives of government agencies in Norway, and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre and Ambassador of Norway to Ukraine Jon Elvedal Fredriksen.
At the invitation of the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce the director of new markets development of WinTRADE BPO Constantine Yakovchuk-Besarab attended the conference. In his speech, Konstantin covered topics of cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses in these countries. In particular, they talked about small and medium-sized Ukrainian companies which can become partners for the Norwegians, and discussed WinTRADE BPO opportunities, which is already a member of the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
“The most interesting sectors for investment in Ukraine and cooperation Norwegians consider IT and agro-business. I am confident that the prospects for cooperation between our countries in these areas are very huge. Both sides have enough medium and small businesses that can become partners for each other. In fact, it is difficult for small companies to cooperate with big outsourcing companies: orders and projects are either very small in volume, or too sort-termed. It is necessary to seek more flexible and more mobile partners than the large business - outsourcing of Ukraine. At the same time the Norwegian business has no information about small and medium-sized outsourcing companies in Ukraine and their capabilities. In this situation, I consider Ukrainian platform USupport as very beneficial, as it make it possible to contact the customer and performer ", - said Konstantin Yakovchuk - Besarab.
