From 01 April to 31 May 2013 "Diabetes.
Become
aware on time" campaign have been
conducted, aimed at informing people
about the importance of preventing the possible development or exacerbation of
diabetes and other diseases caused
by increased level of glucose and glycosylated hemoglobinin the
blood.
The
project was initiated by LifeScan
(Johnson & Johnson), one of the world's leading
manufacturers of diabetes self-control devices.
One could have been tested and get
instant results in any of the 125 laboratories "Synevo", located in 40 cities of Ukraine.
Testing was conducted by laboratory specialists
using glucometers OneTouch ® UltraEasy ® manufactured by LifeScan, which can get
accurate results in
just 5 seconds.
During the campaign 64,702 people tested
their glucose level for free.
Within the
framework of this project WinCALL, one of the key business lines of WinTRADE, which provides a full scale of call-center outsourcing services, organized data hot line service
where citizens could apply for the necessary information concerning the campaign.
