One of the main mobile communications industry events, Mobile World Congress 2015, has ended in Barcelona.

Mobile World Congress is a significant event for professionals of the market, where representatives of leading companies demonstrate new products, discuss topical technical issues, new trends and express daring assumptions on the future of mobile industry. Traditionally, awarding ceremony Global Mobile Awards, which highlights the main achievements and outstanding personalities of the sphere is held as a part of the event.

This year MWC was visited by over 93 thousand people from more than 200 countries, a large choice of gadgets and technological solutions was presented by more than 2,000 companies. WinTRADE team at the event was represented by Dmytro Lytvyn, Business Development director.

"Visit of MWC for WinTRADE was not accidental: Congress helps to understand major trends and hear the opinions of the leading players of interesting to us areas. It is quite important for us, as a huge Ukrainian outsourcing company, to understand the trends of IT and telecommunications markets development in the next few years.

 

In addition to the novelties from the world of gadgets and accessories, leading equipment manufacturers and service providers discussed technologies of the next generation for high-speed data transfer, software and hardware for telecommunications operators. While mobile operators have just started testing 3G in Ukraine, almost the schedules of transfer to the 5th generation telecommunications were discussed at MWC 2015.

 

Another topic was the Internet of Things (IoT). No doubt, that modern technologies will allow to connect everything to the Internet in the next few years. And the world "everything" means really everything: cars, TVs, bicycles, refrigerators, thermostats, coffee makers, watches, shoes and clothes. Internet of things refers both to personal devices and infrastructure elements, allowing to manage municipal economy in more effective way. Opportunities provided by IoT for humanity are even hard to imagine now.

 

Also there were interesting software pavilions, representing platforms for mobile apps development, monetization of mobile traffic, tracking and controlling vehicles based on geopositioning, VoIP-applications and hundreds of the apps, including games and social networks.

The issue of personal safety and protection, regarding mobile devices, is also a trend. Thus, Kaspersky Lab presented its new product at MWC — Safe Kids, a mobile application, intended to provide informational protection for children using mobile internet, a few vendors showed their hardware and software solutions making possible to ensure complete privacy of conversations and correspondence.

 

Despite the fact that no fundamentally new technologies were presented at the Congress this year, the stock of what can be still developed and improved will be enough for the market for about five years. Although there were very few representatives from Ukraine, I do believe in the technological future of our country and look forward to WinTRADE cooperation with industry leader," Dmytro shared his opinion.
